Author Guidelines

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • All authors should prepare their full papers for the Conference, since the Conference is having collaboration to publish selected papers to several Scopus-Indexed Journals.
  • Manuscripts should be original and have not been accepted for any publication or even published elsewhere in English or any other languages. Papers considered are Research Articlesand Case Reports. Full papers may contain a result of primary research, secondary data analyses, unique protocol of the study, or a rare and/or difficult case series/single case report.
  • A participant could only present one paper in the meeting, however the same author may appear as a co-author in other abstracts.
  • All full papers must be submitted online through the Conference’s official website at iscard.ui.ac.id Author should register to the Conference’s website, to be able to submit a full paper and the full paper to be processed for review.
  • Full papers received by fax or post WILL NOT be accepted.
  • Full papers should be submitted through the online submission system no later than 30th June 2018. The online submission system will be closed at 24:00 hours Midnight (GMT +7) on the closing date. All full papers submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

FULLPAPER Guidelines:

  • Full papers must be exclusively prepared in good English and thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar. Full papers should be proofread prior to submission.
  • Full paper is the original work of the author(s) and/or has not been previously published and/or not transferred elsewhere. Full papers that were previously submitted for publication or submitted, accepted or presented at other meetings will not be accepted.
  • Full paper should be typed on one side of an A4 paper using TNR font, font size of 12, line spacing of 1.5, all margins are 3 cm, not more than 10 pages, excluding figures, charts, tables and references, also number in all pages.
  • Full papers should not be engaged in plagiarism or in self-plagiarism. If a presentation is later proven to contain previously published materials or signs of plagiarism then appropriate sanctions will be imposed against the author(s), such as prohibiting presentation at the next meeting.
  • Paper submitted must obtain approval from related Ethics Committee (For study involving human and animal subjects), with proven signed informed consent from subjects (human subjects)
  • A valid corresponding email address of the main author must be submitted. The presenter should be the author. The co-authors may represent the author in the presentation with written notification to the Scientific Committee. Please be sure to use a valid, long-term email address as it will be used for all further communications (including acceptance/ rejection notifications) in regard to your full paper.
  • Only presenters of selected full papers, who have been fully registered and paid, will have their abstracts included in the final program book.
  • The author’s name, who will present the poster or oral presentation, should be underlined.
  • The preference of presentation type (oral or poster), that is selected during submission, is a request only. The decision of presentation type is a discretion of the Scientific Program Committee.

Abstract FORMAT

Abstract format must include the following items:

  1. Title: should not exceed than 20 words.
  2. Author(s)’s must include the full name of author(s) and their full affiliation(s) details.Author(s) should be responsible for providing the correct name of author and co-author(s). Name should be written in full and please to highlight the last name.
  3. Corresponding author email

Word Count: should be limited to 250 words including sub headings. Any abbreviations must be spelled out on the first use and consistently use thereafter.

 

Structure of abstract of CASE REPORT ARTICLE: must include the subheading

  • Objective– A brief statement on the purpose of report and current status of the reports in the field
  • Case Report– Reporting the Case Report
  • Conclusion– A statement to describe the significance of case report and its implication in clinical practice
  • Keywords – Brief and clear description of relevant key words (maximum 5 key words)

Structure of abstract of ORIGINAL ARTICLE: must include the four sub-heading

  • Introduction– A brief statement on the purpose of study and the current state of research in the field. No more than 2 sentences.
  • Methods– The methods of study must be briefly defined and minimally consist of, study design, subject, data collection procedure, and data analyses.
  • Results– A summary of the study results, including sufficient details to support the conclusions.
  • Conclusion– A statement to describe the significance of the work and its implications for further research and/or public health.
  • Keywords – Brief and clear description of relevant key words (maximum 5 key words)

FORMAT OF FULL PAPER CONTENT

The content of full papers should be organized as follows:

Research/Original article

  1. Introduction(Concise, no more than 4 paragraphs. Clearly state the background of study, main problem and the purpose of study.)
  2. Methods(State ethical clearance when required. Clearly explain the details of research methods and statistical analysis used in the study. Subheadings to assist the clarity of data presentation are allowed.)
  3. Results(Data should be presented in table or graphs. Avoid repetition of presenting similar data.)
  4. Discussion(Clearly state the interpretation of the study results and the discussion of other relevant published data. Avoid the repetition of studies explained in the introduction or repetition of data explained in the results)
  5. Conclusion(Avoid undue extrapolation of the study findings.)
  6. Acknowledgment(Individuals, who were contributed in the study but not included in the authorship, may be acknowledged. The source of financial support and industry affiliations of all those involved must be stated.)
  7. Conflict of Interest(Authors are required to disclose all sources of institutional, private and corporate financial support for their study. Authors are also required to disclose any potential conflict of interest. Any conflict of interest (or information specifying the absence of conflicts of interest) and the sources of funding for the research will be published under a separate heading entitled “Conflict of Interest”. See www.icmje.org for generally accepted definitions of conflicts.)
  8. References(Authors are encouraged to use journal articles published in the last 10 years as their primary references. Articles older than 10 years should not exceed than 10% of the whole references.  Detailed information for reference writing style can be found in the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals, available at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/html. It is the obligation of author to ensure that all references in manuscript are accurately quoted, correct and written according to the guidelines. Each reference quoted should be numbered based on their appearance in the main text of the paper using Arabic number (1,2,3,4, and so on) – superscript. The title of each journal quoted should be abbreviated following the standardized abbreviations, which can be found at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/journals.Comprehensive referencing of recent articles related to the manuscript is compulsory.
  9. Figure and Tables(Each table and figure and its title should be presented in text of the full papers, numbered in Arabic numeral system indicating their appearance in the text. The following information should be provided for each figure: Figure number (using Arabic numeral system); short title of the figure (maximum 15 words); detailed legends, up to 300 words. Captions included should be brief, clearly indicating the purpose or content of each table/figure. Notes should be provided to each table, identifying all abbreviations used in alphabetical order.)

 Case report
